The School of the Arts of Glass has two separate training channels: Youth training schemes/Ocupational training and short specialist courses.

The Youth Training Shemes are divided into semestral programmes of 650 hours. These courses are subsidised by the Employment Office , Industry and Business and Tourist Ministry of the Catalan Government and European Social Funding scheme and are aimed at young unemployed people who pass the selection process by showing an interest and the necessary abilities for maximum benefit of the courses.

Our main subject areas are:

Design and decoration of glass objects

Glass sculpture

Application of new techniques in
Contemporary Stained Glass

Conservation and Restoration of Stained Glass

Admission to the school requires a letter of application, a current CV and a dossier of past work undertaken to enable the teaching staff and director of the school to make a fair selection of candidates.

The courses take the form of training courses which combine theoretical training with technical and practical training which are aimed at achieving future professional success. The method followed is global and all the subjects are strictly related to each other.

The School of the Arts of Glass relies on teaching professionals who are well qualified, trained at the same school and who are amongst the best in the country in terms of creation and design. We also have a large number of former students, now artists, artesans and young businessmen and women, who are currently giving exhibitions, working or creating new workshops with great success.
